This Easter Week Christians Need to Remember....

Image
Jesus Christ’s Promise; He said, “I will come again”! “I go to prepare a place for you.   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:2-3). “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:” “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” (Matthew 25:31,34). “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:28). “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet ...

Salvation at The Cross of Calvary.

Image
"It is Finished"! The act of Christ dying on the cross for our salvation and access to heaven justified us to God and God and His Son in dealing with the rebellion of Satan.   It is seen that for the salvation of a fallen race, the Ruler of the universe had made the greatest sacrifice which love could make.   One of the most solemn and yet most glorious truths revealed in the Bible is that of Christ’s second coming to complete the work of redemption.   To God’s people, a precious, joy inspiring hope is in His promise of His appearing again to take His people to their home in heaven.   Christ’s second coming is the very keynote of the scriptures.   From the day when Adam and Eve turned away from Eden, we have waited for the coming of Jesus to break Satan’s power on the human race and bring back Paradise.   The coming of Christ to usher in the reign of righteousness has inspired and impassioned writers from all levels from poets to prophets, t...

The Crucifixion and The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.   But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:   For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.   (Matthew 12:38).     Jesus told them that the only sign He would give was that of the prophet Jonah: “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (Matthew 12:40).   Jesus told them point blank that He was going to be in the tomb for three days and for three nights. We now come to the week Jesus was crucified.   “And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his di...

Does It Really Matter What You Believe?

Image
The simple answer to this question is, yes it does.   To clarify the answer, it matters if you want to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of immortality and salvation to eternal life.   Immortality and salvation is a gift from God, given to us freely.   We cannot earn it.   But, there is one important thing that people forget.   God does not force us to take this gift.   We can accept the gift or we can refuse the gift.   If you do not care about this gift, then the answer to the question is that it really doesn’t matter what you believe.   You can believe whatever your heart desires.                 Using the Bible as a basis for this discussion, it tells us that that those who want to know and have a relationship with God should hold on to beliefs that are based on His laws and not compromise.   “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we ke...

A LOOK AT LIFE AFTER DEATH.

Image
Read the two following passages: "So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.   For we walk by faith, not by sight.   We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."   (2 Corinthians 5:6‑8) and "I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; (Philippians 1:23) Compare those passages with the following:   But man dies and is laid away; Indeed, he breathes his last And where is he?   As water disappears from the seas And a river becomes parched and dries up, So man lies down and does not rise.   Till the heavens are no more, They will not awake Nor be roused from their sleep.   "Oh, that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man dies, shall he li...

What Will Heaven Be Like?

Image
There will come a time when we who are alive and remain shall be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.   When this happens, a paranormal event will occur.   It will be a supernatural event where our bodies will be transformed from mortal physical bodies into glorified spiritual bodies.   We will have ghostlike attributes with all the power associated with the spirit world.   We will be transformed and when this happens we will be under the protection of the Lord forever.                 When we are finally in heaven, in the paradise Jesus referred to while hanging from the cross, the Bible promises that God will wipe away every tear from our eyes and there won’t be any more death.   Pain and sorrow will be a thing of the past so there will be no more crying. The pain ...

Proof Of The Paranormal.

The next time any human being sees Jesus Christ is when He comes back for His church.   Dead Christians will be resurrected into immortality and the Christians who are still alive at that time Jesus returns will be changed from mortal human beings into immortal human beings.   It is then that people will rise up into the air with Jesus and go into “heaven” and prepare to return with Him and set up an earthly Kingdom.     "Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. "He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.   And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should ...

GOD’S FINALE JUDGEMENT OF THE WICKED.

Image
1Thessalonians 1:9 says that “They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might”.   What is Paul’s message here? The Bible records, see Acts 16 and 17, that Paul did not have a good experience when he visited Thessalonica.   Paul was beaten illegally and then put into prison.   They then forced him to leave the city by night because unbelieving Jews brought false charges against Paul.   Paul did not give up, he made several attempt to return but he was hindered by Satan. “But when we were separated from you, brothers and sisters, for a short time (in presence, not in affection) we became all the more fervent in our great desire to see you in person. For we wanted to come to you (I, Paul, in fact tried again and again) but Satan thwarted us” (1 Thessalonians 2:17-18). In this first letter to the Thessalonian Church Paul was concerned about the progress of the church ...
