SOMETIMES EVEN FAITH IN GOD WILL NOT HELP US AVOID CERTAIN SITUATIONS.

Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

(13) Consider the work of God;
For who can make straight what He has made crooked?
(14) In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothing that will come after him.  (New King James Version)

"These verses build on the preceding ones on wisdom being a defense. Yet as good a shelter as God's wisdom is, it cannot shield us from every possible event we might consider a calamity. Everybody faces such situations. Wisdom will aid us to resign ourselves to the circumstances of those times. “Resignation” is too often understood to have the sense of throwing up our hands and giving up, thus quitting under fire. It indeed can have that connotation, but not always, and such is not the implication here. The wisdom in this case is that we are to submit to the fact that there are times that nothing can be done to avoid certain situations.

"This verse marks the third time such counsel is dealt with, and this is just the seventh chapter. It is important because we are dealing with the Sovereign of this entire creation. There are things He is doing that He absolutely will not change for us. Similar instruction appears in chapter 3.

"Therefore, we have to discern those times, resign ourselves to them, and gracefully and humbly accept them, allowing Him to work out His purpose without constant complaining from us. Job 12:13-16 makes this point clearly:
With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding. If He breaks a thing down, it cannot be rebuilt; if He imprisons a man, there can be no release. If He withholds the waters, they dry up; if He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth. With Him are strength and prudence. The deceived and the deceiver are His.
"If one tries to fight God, there is no possibility of winning. To do so is stupid beyond the bounds of reason, but mankind constantly attempts it. This concerns us on a daily basis because we live in this world too. What is going on in the world is not pleasant to experience or even to contemplate, so our becoming angry, depressed, and weary with the entire matter is a likely possibility. Nevertheless, the situation will not go away because God has willed it for the present.

"Wisdom, in this case, is to be resigned to it. We must think this reality through and accept what is impossible for us to change. All too often, though, we allow it to depress us and dominate our lives to such an extent that we do virtually nothing positive about the things we canchange. That is when Satan wins because, having put ourselves into a weakened attitude, we more readily cave to his devices.

"Verse 14 contains further wisdom to defend against those difficult times when it seems that nothing can be changed. Solomon essentially counsels us to learn to “roll with the punches.” We must make careful efforts to make the best of the situation, understanding that God has seemingly withdrawn Himself for our good. God is love; He is neither forgetful nor a harsh taskmaster. We have a hard time seeing that the level of difficulty we are experiencing is good for our growth. He is not doing it to smother us but to benefit us in the end.

"The last phrase of verse 14 tells us that God, from His sovereign height, has determined to keep man somewhat off-balance for His purposes. God has commanded that we must live by faith. So trying to figure out the precise reasons for a situation is not only often impossible, but also a huge waste of time and energy. This counsel may not satisfy some people because of its simplicity, but it is right: Trust Him!"

It takes only one sin for God to impose the death penalty!

Hebrews 2:14-15 - "Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." (New King James Version)

"Some religions make no mention of Satan as a reality. Others include him as a reality and enemy, yet they make little or no accounting of him actively working to destroy mankind and God's purpose. Jesus makes no bones about Satan actively working to destroy men. In John 8:44, in accusing the Jews of unbelief, He puts Satan's nature in plain words:

  • ""You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it."

"Satan is clearly responsible for drawing Adam and Eve into the first of mankind's sins, opening the floodgate to the sins of all of their progeny, all physical and mental sickness, countless emotional agonies, and the billions of deaths that mankind has experienced.

"God makes it clear that the wages—the ultimate penalty—earned by one's sins is death (Romans 6:23). The sobering truth of this matter is that it takes only one sin for God to impose the death penalty! He warned Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden before they ever sinned, "In the day you eat of it you shall surely die" (Genesis 2:17). The death penalty falls immediately on anyone who sins, even if it is the first time!

"Any religion that is without Christ leaves the door open to thoughts that salvation can be earned by means of good works. The idea is that the evil an individual has done in the past can be compensated for by doing good deeds. This is the very charge the apostle Paul lays against the Jews in Romans 10:1-4:

  • ""Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

"In order for one to be justified before God and accepted by Him requires a righteousness that no man who ever sinned even one time can achieve. No amount of good works can compensate for even one sin. God will accept only the righteousness of One who has never sinned, and He will accept that payment only when a repentant sinner by faith believes.

"Peter's statement in Acts 4:12 confirms that salvation is found nowhere else: "There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (emphasis ours). Christ's involvement in the forgiveness of sin for salvation is imperative; there is no alternative! Peter is not saying we can be saved or may be saved. The word "must" reveals necessity according to God's decree. Salvation is found through no other person and no other way of life except through the sacrifice of Jesus of Nazareth.

"Salvation denotes deliverance or preservation from harm or evil. In this case, it is deliverance and restoration from the effects of sin. The result, then, is deliverance from eternal death (unless one goes on from that point to commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which Jesus says God will not forgive; see Matthew 12:31-32). This is because salvation begins upon one's repentance from his sins and faith in the sacrifice of Christ for the forgiveness of sins. This combination of acts justifies a person before God, and no human works, regardless of their quality or quantity, are acceptable for the forgiveness of sins.

"Does any other religion have a Savior with the qualifications of Jesus Christ? No other religion offers such a magnanimous gift. Forgiveness, and therefore justification, is available only through that perfect sacrifice, along with the sincere repentance of a believing sinner who exhibits faith in the God/Man Jesus Christ and in God's grace. God will then give us of His Spirit." (http://www.theberean.org/, John W. Ritenbaugh, 03/12/2017).

Salvation at The Cross of Calvary.

http://ubdavid.org/youth-world/winners1/winners1_08.html

"It is Finished"!

The act of Christ dying on the cross for our salvation and access to heaven justified us to God and God and His Son in dealing with the rebellion of Satan.  It is seen that for the salvation of a fallen race, the Ruler of the universe had made the greatest sacrifice which love could make.

One of the most solemn and yet most glorious truths revealed in the Bible is that of Christ’s second coming to complete the work of redemption.  To God’s people, a precious, joy inspiring hope is in His promise of His appearing again to take His people to their home in heaven.

Christ’s second coming is the very keynote of the scriptures.  From the day when Adam and Eve turned away from Eden, we have waited for the coming of Jesus to break Satan’s power on the human race and bring back Paradise.  The coming of Christ to usher in the reign of righteousness has inspired and impassioned writers from all levels from poets to prophets, the Bible’s words have dwelt upon the hearts of those who seek redemption.

The assurance that Jesus Christ will come a second time finds a large place in the Scriptures and in the hearts of those who believe in Him and is the keynote of prophecy throughout the Bible.  Those who truly love Jesus can rejoice and be assured that His promise will be fulfilled and eternal life is in the reach of all those who receive Him.

It will be at that great day in time which this world will come to an end and an eternity with Christ will begin.  Christ will deliver all who gloriously and truly love and obey Him.  He will be coming back as King of kings and Lord of Lords!

SPIRITUALISM AND THE BIBLE - LIFE AFTER DEATH.

SPIRITUALISM AND THE BIBLE – LIFE AFTER DEATH.

“Spiritualism is the belief or doctrine that the spirits of the dead, surviving after the mortal life, can and do communicate with the living, especially through a person (a medium) particularly susceptible to their influence.” (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spiritualism).

Satan uses many successful agencies in order to seduce man and spiritualism is one of these delusive teachings.  The belief that spirits of the dead can return and/or communicate with the living is a sacred channel through which Satan works to accomplish his purpose.  The fallen angels who do Satan’s bidding appear as messengers.

Satan has the power to bring before men what appears to be their departed friends.  His counterfeits are perfect in familiarity as far as looks, words, tone and demeanor.  Satan comforts many with the false assurance that their loved ones are enjoying bliss in heaven and he does this without any suspicion of danger.  Men give ear “…to the seducing spirits and doctrines of devils”. (1 Timothy 4:1).

The these fallen spirits sometimes utter cautions and warnings which prove to be correct.  They build confidence and then they present doctrines, by leading people to misinterpret scriptures, which actually undermines the scriptures.  They state some truths and this gives their statements the appearance of reliability and the false teachings are believed as implicitly as if they were the most sacred truths of the Bible.

He contradicts what the apostles wrote as documented in the Bible and in this way he denies the truth of the Holy Spirit and the divine origin of the Bible.  In this way Satan tears away the foundation of the Christian’s hope for eternal life and puts out the truth that reveals the only path to salvation.  This is ultimately Satan’s goal.  The same way Satan tried to exalt himself…

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:” (Isaiah 14:13).

…and lost his place in heaven, he is now trying to do the same thing to mankind.

Satan misleads people by exciting the ambition for self-exaltation.  In the place of righteousness and perfection of the infinite God, he has substituted the sinful, erring nature of man himself as the rule of judgement, standard, and character.  Instead of progressing upward toward the likeness of God, man is descending downward.

Spiritualism professes to teach Christ and the Bible.  The problem is, the Bible is interpreted in a manner that is pleasing to the ears of unrepentant men with un-renewed hearts.  Love is upheld as the chief attribute of God, but it is degraded with a weak sentimentalism and does not make a distinction between what God and Jesus Christ view as good and evil.  God’s denunciations of sin, the requirements of His holy law and His justice are all kept out of site.

Satan, as sure as the sunrises in the east, is preparing for his final effort to deceive the world.  He laid the foundation when he assured Eve in the garden “In the day ye eat thereof, then you surely not die.  In the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as good as gods, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5-5).

God never intended man to determine "good and evil".  That is why he told Adam and Eve, (...Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."  (Genesis 2:16-17).

IS HELL A FALSE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE? THE BIBLE SCRIPTURES INDICATE THAT IT IS.

Hell Is A False Doctrine Invented By The Early Christian Church?

The concept of hell is well known in the religious as well as the secular world. People in all walks of life use it to color their emotions, to criticize as well as to condemn others. Phrases from, "What the hell is that?", to "Get the hell out of here", to "Go to Hell!", are commonly used.

I have heard phrases about hell more often in the secular world than I have in the Christian community. It seems that preachers and religious teachers tend to shy away from the subject. When they do talk about it, it seems it is more to scare the daylights out of you so you'll be a better Christian.  I think they shy away from the subject because they cannot fully explain the concept of Hell in this doctrine and reconcile it with other scriptures found in the bible

The New Encyclopedia Britannica in Vol. 5, page 814, states ". . . hell is the final dwelling of the damned . . .".  This may be ok as a definition for non Christians, but the question is what does the Bible actually teach on the subject of hell?  The Bible does teach that a pit of fire will created for Satan and his fallen angels. This pit of fire was interpreted as Gehenna, in Greek and then interpreted to Hell in the English version of the Bible.

Who will this particular “hell” be created for?  It will be created for Satan and his false prophets.  Satan rebelled against God and when he did he took a third of God's angels with him. Because of this rebellion, God has sentenced them to eternal punishment. God created Satan and the angels as immortal beings. Since they are immortal and cannot die, technically they could survive the fire and be tormented through eternity.

Human beings on the other hand are not immortal.. We can and do die. When we die we no longer have a conscious state. We are unaware of our surroundings because we no longer exist in any form. Our spirit does go back to God, but it has no consciousness. It is not a being, spiritual or otherwise.  Our spirit can't hear, see, taste, smell, or touch on its own.

The spirit cannot think, it has no brain! When our physical body is destroyed, we simply do not exist in any state. After death we are no longer aware of the passage of time. We totally and completely cease to exist. Logically then, how can you possibly explain a mortal human being tossed into a fire and some how survive the fire in some state in order to be tortured for eternity?
The majority of Christians today believe that if you are wicked, if you do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and that God is the Creator of the universe, then you will be sent to hell where you will be tortured with pain and torment forever. The God of the Bible who, ". . . so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son . . .". (John 3:16), would not be so unjust and unmerciful.

The Bible clearly teaches that God loves and is not unfeeling or uncaring. How could anyone imagine that God would want to see and feel the suffering of his own creation, His children, much less see it forever and ever. It doesn't make sense.  Would any parent want to see their children tortured?

You might argue that if God says this is the punishment of the fallen angels and Satan, why not us. The simple answer would be that we were created in His own image in His own likeness to be His children. The angels were not.

Any true Christian would have to admit that they would never want to see their own children suffer agony and torment no matter how wicked they were. If we would not do this to our children, why would God do it to His?

We do not inflict that type of suffering and torture on the wicked and evil people in our society. When we convict murderers and sentence them, we do not make them suffer some type of torture. In fact we have clear laws in our society about torturing anybody for any type of crime. When we do sentence them to death, we do it in the most humane way possible. We go out of our way to ensure they do not suffer.

If we do not torture the wicked in our society, how can a Christian possibly believe that God would do it? This is not even logical. How could any Christian believe that his God would inflict this type of punishment on millions and millions of people who have died since the beginning of man. This idea does not make sense when you study who the God of the Bible is.

The traditional Christian view of hell as a place where the fires are burning, the devil is waiting, and people are screaming and crying out in agony is not Biblical, and it is cruel to teach it.  It is doctrines like this that totalitarian governments use to control their people.  It is this type of doctrine that the early Roman Christian Church used in order to control the newly converted pagans.

It is doctrines such as this that fuel agnostics and atheism.  The picture of Hell where fires are burning and people are screaming in agony has been taught by the Christian church for centuries.  It was not taught during the Apostolic period nor was it ever taught by Jesus Christ.  There is not one scripture with words uttered by Jesus Christ that even hints that this would happen to the wicked in the world.  If this doctrine were true it would have been peppered through out the bible, especially in the gospels, but it is not.

This is such an important doctrine to the Christian church yet you will not find one instance in the Bible where this is supported.   Jesus would not have been evasive in trying to warn people about what would happen if they did not turn to Him and follow his ways.  He would have made it very clear.  The only way you can get this doctrine is if you take passages out of context and then combine it with pagan religious beliefs.

The Warfare And The Terrorism We See In The World Today Will Come To An End.

King Cyrus was ruling over Babylon.  It was the third year of his reign.  The Jews were being held captive in Babylon since Jerusalem was conquered and they were taken as slaves.  One of the people taken was the prophet Daniel.  (See Daniel Chapter 10).

The prophet Daniel was concerned over the eventual fate of the Jewish nation and was earnestly praying to God for an answer to this concern.  “In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.  In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.  I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled” (Daniel 10:1-3).

Daniel had a vision from God.  He writes, “Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:  His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude….(and I)saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.” (Daniel 10:5-8).

Daniel understood the "thing" that was represented in the vision but he did not understand the full meaning of the vision because God had to send the angel Gabriel to explain the full meaning to him.  When Gabriel got to Daniel he told him, “Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days” (Daniel 10:14).

But, Satan was hard at work as usual trying to do everything he could to thwart the efforts of God and to control all humans on earth, especially God’s chosen people.  When Gabriel came to Daniel, he found it necessary to explain to him why it took so long for him to get there so he could explain the vision to Daniel.

The reason it took so long for the angel to get there was that Satan and his demons had held Gabriel hostage for three weeks.  Satan and his army of demons were so powerful in preventing Gabriel from completing his mission that God had to send Michael the Archangel to give Gabriel a hand so he could complete his mission and explain the meaning of the vision to the prophet Daniel.

The prophet Daniel in writing about this reveals to us an interesting fact about the spiritual world that we inhabit.  The Persian prince and the prince of Grecia were actually demons, part of Satan’s earthly army of fallen angels.  These warriors of Satan were in the past, and still are, given earthly kingdoms to rule.  These demons, these earthly rulers, were then, and still are sent, to carry out the will of Satan in active opposition to God and His rule over human beings.  (See Daniel 10:14-20).

This perpetual spiritual warfare between Satan and God has been going on since Satan’s original rebellion.  It still is going on today.  “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” (Ephesians 2:2).  “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

The Bible confirms the fact that this spiritual warfare will continue on earth.  There are countries today being ruled by demons, controlled by Satan.  This warfare will continue on earth until Jesus Christ’s final victory over Satan and will culminate in a physical, bloody human warfare on earth and will come to a finale end only with the coming of Jesus Christ.

“Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” (Revelation 12:12).  But, Jesus will return to the earth.  “(The)…heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war” (Revelation 19:11).  Jesus will make war with Satan and “…the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, (will be) gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army” (Revelation 19:19).

The human armies under the control of Satan and his demons will be defeated, but they will not be buried.  Instead, God will instruct an angel to command all the carrion eating birds of the earth to eat the flesh of the dead humans led by Satan’s Demons.  The apostle John wrote that he “…saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great” (Revelation 19:17-18).  All the dead humans that were influenced by Satan and his demons and that will be involved in this finale war against Jesus Christ will be have their finale humiliation when they will be left unburied to rot in the sun and be eaten by birds.

But, this doesn’t happen to the demonic rulers of the world which include the beast, Antichrist, and the false prophet.  In His vision, the apostle John saw that “…the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.” (Revelation 19:20).   Since these were fallen angels, immortal, and they cannot be killed, they will be sentenced to eternity in a lake of fire that will burn through eternity along with Satan’s other Demons, fallen angels.

This is not the end.  At this point of time Satan will not be thrown in the lake of fire, hell, but rather, God will have him bound for one thousand years to prevent him from influencing any human on earth in that time period.  The apostle John has a vision of an angel coming “…down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,” (Revelation 20:1).

God has been using Satan since he rebelled, for the salvation of human beings since they fell from grace in the Garden of Eden.  Instead of throwing him in the lake of fire with the rest of the fallen angels, God will have him bound “And (will) cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he… (will be)…loosed… (for)…a little season” (Revelation 20:3).

Jesus Christ will return to the earth and He will defeat Satan and his army of demons.  This will end the warfare and terrorism that we see today.  But that is not God’s ultimate goal.  God wants to complete the salvation of all human beings on earth and give humans the opportunity to get back the gift of eternal life.  Eventually He will do that by using Satan one more time.

That is why Satan is simply bound for a thousand years and at the end of that time will be loosed one more time because  “when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth… to gather them together to battle….(A)nd they…(will go)… up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints…, and the beloved city: and fire…(will come)… down from God out of heaven, and devour…them” (Revelation 20:7-10).

This time there will not even be a battle.  All humans on earth worshiping God and Jesus Christ will be protected and no one protected will die.  When Satan and his armies are ready to attack, God and Jesus Christ will simply kill all the human beings who are following Satan.  The fire that comes down from the heaven will be the wrath of God combined with the ultimate fate of every human who is disobedient, the lake of fire.

These human beings along with “…the devil that deceived them… (will be)…cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are..." (Revelation 20:9-27).  The human beings will not be tortured forever and ever because the prophet Malachi tells us that "...(T)he day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch" (Malachi 4:1).

Satan and the demons are imortal and cannot die, therefore they "...shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever”  (Revelation 20:7-9).  Since the human beings were not yet immortal, they will be simply burned up, they will eternally cease to exist.  Satan and the demons will be tormented forever and ever.

The warfare and the terrorism we see in the world today will come to an end, all terrorist led by Satan in the past, present and future will be judged at the great white throne of judgment.  “(T)he dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works” (Revelation 20:12).  If God does not find them “…in the book of life…” they will be “…cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 19:10-15).

There will finally be peace on earth, eternally.

CAN YOU CAN TALK TO THE DEAD.

The Christian Bible well documents the idea in many scriptures that there are angels who God directs to minister to humans. These angels do not contact humans on their own and humans cannot contact them. That is not without God's express permission. This is talking about God's angels, not all angels. There are angels that were created by God, that chose to rebel against God.

Satan is one of them. When he rebelled, he took one third of all angels that were created by God with him. These are what most Christians refer to as Fallen angels or demons. These angels, along with Satan, can and will communicate with you.

They will do this for one reason and one reason only. The reason is to deceive you. These angels that communicate with humans are not dead people. They are a creation of God, created as an angel that dwells in the spiritual realm.

The Bible does not teach nor will you find any scripture that supports the idea that the dead come back to help human beings in any way. In order to teach this doctrine, scripture must teach on the immortality of the human soul or spirit and it does not.

The immortality of the human soul or spirit is strictly a pagan idea not found anywhere in the Bible. Early in Christianity, during the early third and fourth centuries, it was incorporated into Christian doctrine, through the Roman Christian Church. Bible scripture plainly teaches that "For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten" (Ecclesiastes 9:5).

The "ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs for salvation" (Hebrews 1:14) are not dead people but are God's heavenly angels. The doctrine that man is concious after he dies is based today on modern spiritualism. Modern spiritualism and most of its beliefs are not rooted in Biblical scripture.

If there was any truth in the conciousness of man going on after death, why would not a loving God allow these spirits free will to contact those they love and warn them against the evils of this world? On that alone, the idea that people can talk to the dead makes no logical sense.

Bible scripture teaches that God's eternal plan is the salvation of man.  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, who was then allowed by God to be cruelly tortured and executed. As a Christian, if you believe John 3:16, how could you logically believe that God would not allow the spirits of dead humans actively participate in man's salvation, and talk to their dead relatives and loved ones freely and without being conjured up by someone who claims they can talk to the dead, while taking your money.  That makes no sense what so ever.
