What Will Heaven Be Like?

 

                There will come a time when we who are alive and remain shall be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  When this happens, a paranormal event will occur.  It will be a supernatural event where our bodies will be transformed from mortal physical bodies into glorified spiritual bodies.  We will have ghostlike attributes with all the power associated with the spirit world.  We will be transformed and when this happens we will be under the protection of the Lord forever.

                When we are finally in heaven, in the paradise Jesus referred to while hanging from the cross, the Bible promises that God will wipe away every tear from our eyes and there won’t be any more death.  Pain and sorrow will be a thing of the past so there will be no more crying. The pain we feel physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually will be gone forever because the Bible says that former things will have passed away.

                The cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars will be put to death and God’s preferred method of execution is the use of fire.  The wicked will be gone forever because they will be burned up into ashes in God’s ‘Lake of Fire”.

                God’s eternal city will be the seat of the “Kingdom of the World” present on the earth at that time.  It will have a great, high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels will be posted at each gate.  On the gates will be written the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel as a reminder to all who remain of how God does keep His promise to all people.  The wall of the city will have twelve foundations, and on them will be the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.  This will signify to everyone exactly what God’s government is now and will be based on. 

                No one will enter the city that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie.  This will include the likes of a lot of people on the earth today.  Only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be allowed to enter this Holy city.  There shall be no more curse, the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in this city, and His servants will serve Him, ruling the entire earth from there.

Current Events Have Been Predicted Thousands Of Years Ago.

There is a general outcry today about the atrocities that are happening in the Middle East, especially countries that are Muslim, and also about what is happening around the rest of the world.  There has been a major effort in the last thirty years by utilizing political maneuvering coupled with diplomatic and economic unification efforts, to set the stage for a future global government.

One of the key tools that the masterminds of this global effort uses the commissioning of the scientific community to support the idea of “climate change”.  The climate in one way or another effects every nation, every human being living on earth no matter what your political agenda is.  Because of the negative consequences to all human beings, this is one thing that every nation can rally around.

The scientific community does use climatic facts to support their theories.  This is why it makes their arguments so convincing.  The planet over the last decade or so shows evidence of what the proponents of the theory claim to be “global warming”.  They claim that the cause of this is man made.  The problem with that claim is that there is no conclusive or clear evidence to supports this claim.

The earth has warmed over the last century, the polar ice caps have decreased, and the oceans have risen.  An intergovernmental panel from the United Nations has produced evidence that supports the theory that the earth will continue to experience significant negative change for years to come.

The interesting point to this whole narrative is that the Christian Bible made these claims of what is happening today almost 2000 years ago.  The Bible says that as we approach the end of time, when Jesus Christ is going to return to the earth, there will be major changes in the earth and its climate, the type of which were never seen before up until that time.  (Read Revelation 8:7-11).

It is predicted to get worse and if you watch the daily news, there is evidence that what the Bible predicts is starting to happen today.  The unstoppable and continuing destruction of the earth’s rain forests which was also to predicted to happen when the apostle John said that on-third of the world’s vegetation will be destroyed (Revelation8:7).  He said that this would be completed in the last seven years of the generation that will witness the return of Jesus Christ.

THE BIBLE AND THE THOUSAND YEAR REIGN OF JESUS CHRIST ON EARTH, THE MELLENNIUM.

The Christian Bible has many scriptures that talk about a period of time that will happen in our future where Jesus Christ will return to earth and reign as the King and ruler of the entire earth.  The Saints of Jesus Christ will help Jesus in this task.  This particular period is known by Christians as the "Millennium".



This will be a time that will be the start of something new that has never happened on earth before.  There is a lot of misrepresentation about this time period because the ruler of the earth at the present time, Satan, doesn't want you to understand what will happen.  The Bible scriptures tells you the truth about what will happen during this period of time.

Revelation chapter 20 starts off by telling us how an angel will come down from heaven and take Satan, who has already been defeated by Jesus Christ as explained earlier in Revelation, and the angel will lay "...hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan..." (Revelation 20:2), and the angel will put him in what is described as a "bottomless pit" where Satan will be "...bound... [for] ...a thousand years".

Then it tells us that "...thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years"  (Revelation 20:4).

That scripture makes if clear that Christ will be reigning here on earth for one thousand years.
